Spotlight on Tracy Fowler

I am originally a Northerner, with Irish heritage who was adopted by the South, and had the opportunity to spend a few years living Danishly. When not planning the next vacation, you can find me playing tennis and trying to live up to (but mostly failing) my idol Steffi Graff's standards. I am one of those people who hates winter and being cold, so spends quite a bit of time escaping the UK winter by enjoying the sunshine in Portugal.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

The ability to adapt and my inquisitive nature have led me to continue to progress through my career over the years. With experience across all aspects of Finance, and different industries, I've had the opportunity to learn from some great peers and CFOs. The relationships and networks have opened doors to opportunities that might not have normally come across my desk. I absolutely love working in global organisations where you have the opportunity to meet colleagues across many cultures and learn from different experiences.

Stay true to who you are and what is important to you.
 

What is the greatest challenge CFOs are facing today, and how are you addressing it?

The greatest challenge, but also an opportunity, is navigating the organisation through rapid growth.
 

What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CFO?

There is no one straight path to being a CFO, so be prepared to take some different directions along the way and learn from them.
 

How do you measure success as a leader?

I measure success based on how I am adding value to the organisation and my colleagues around me.
