CISOs are starting to educate the board with outcome-driven metrics to measure and guide cybersecurity investment. Security leaders must proactively monitor and correlate cyberthreats, integrating threat intelligence, to stay ahead of evolving attack techniques. They should prioritize addressing volatile threats, treat complex threats as a series, and invest in exposure management and threat intelligence to identify the most relevant threats to the organization. CISOs should also build a case to convince stakeholders about the necessity to shift priorities in response to specific threats.
