The CISO Executive Summit agendas are driven by the mission-critical priorities identified among the community. Each agenda is uniquely crafted ‘by CISOs, for CISOs,’ and will be available closer to the gathering. All topics and sessions will be inspired by the following themes.
Balancing Risk Mitigation and Value Creation
Security Leaders should express cyber risks in monetary terms to enable comparison with other risks in the organization. CISOs must effectively communicate cyber risks in a way that links them to business values and outcomes to gain executive and board support for effective and mature cyber-risk management.
Facilitate Decision-Making with Outcome-Driven Metrics
Executive boards are recognizing the importance of managing cybersecurity as a business risk. CISOs are starting to educate the board with outcome-driven metrics to measure and guide cybersecurity investment. This shift in conversation has increased visibility and comfort for the board and allows for better decision-making regarding cybersecurity investments.
Thriving Amidst Complexity and Uncertainty
Security leaders must proactively monitor and correlate cyberthreats, integrating threat intelligence, to stay ahead of evolving attack techniques. They should prioritize addressing volatile threats, treat complex threats as a series, and invest in exposure management and threat intelligence to identify the most relevant threats to the organization. CISOs should also build a case to convince stakeholders about the necessity to shift priorities in response to specific threats.
