At Gartner C-level Communities, our members gather year-round to make local connections and share global insights with peers from the world’s leading organizations. Among our most popular offerings is the Town Hall – a virtual program designed specifically for C-level executives to address topics critical to their roles in between in-person events.
In today’s fast-paced, hybrid business landscape, virtual programs like the Town Hall are essential. They offer flexibility for busy executives like yourself to engage with peers from anywhere – whether at home, in the office, or on the go. This convenient, frequent engagement helps you stay connected to the latest trends and solutions, while building relationships with leaders who understand your challenges.
A Virtual Gathering with Real Impact
Like all of our community programs, Town Hall topics are thoughtfully curated by Governing Body members, who help shape the agenda based on the mission critical priorities of our executive communities. Each Town Hall is a one-hour, highly interactive session focused on a single topic, allowing you to truly dive into the matter at hand and share cross-industry perspectives on common challenges. As one community member shared, “The topics covered in Town Halls help to validate that I am on the right path as a leader.”
What Happens During a Town Hall?
The session begins with a level-set on the topic, providing context and framing the discussion for participants. From there, members break out into small groups led by community members who serve as discussion leaders. These breakout discussions foster candid dialogue, practical problem-solving, and the sharing of best practices in a confidential setting. After the breakouts, everyone reconvenes to share key learnings and highlight actionable insights.
One community member said, “Great structure. The small group breakouts worked seamlessly and were helpful to facilitate discussion.” Another shared, “It's really hard to beat the formula for these sessions. A solid lead-in, peer-led breakouts, and very good, balanced participation by the attendees.”
What Members Value Most
Members consistently tell us that the Town Hall format provides a unique space to gain new perspectives, collaborate on shared challenges, and expand their professional network in a meaningful way. Here are a few of their thoughts:
The Gartner team did an excellent job in organizing and facilitating this virtual event. I found the breakout session insightful. It also gave me an opportunity to make new connections with local peers. Keep these events coming!
The Town Halls are great because they give attendees a chance to talk among a smaller group to share ideas and experiences. It’s also a good opportunity to network and make new professional connections.
I appreciate the virtual experience. It allows me to connect in the middle of my work day and is easy to schedule.
It was a great experience. My breakout cohort had a robust conversation, we shared ideas and a willingness to follow-up with each other. This forum helps you make connections that might not otherwise be made and that allow you to advance critical work.
