Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

My path was a licensed Private Investigator that believed the future would be about technology and data. At the time, it was not. I moved into the semiconductor industry (8yrs) then to Apple Inc.(7yrs) before my current position.
 

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Focus on real-world risk, not theoretical risk.

What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CISO?

Drive for situational awareness, focus on solution options, establish a plan with your stakeholders, and execute the plan.
 

How do you measure success as a leader?

Collaboration skills matter; metrics help drive.
