Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

Passion has always led me. It started as a passion for technology and LEGOs in the beginning, and then at university I discovered the Internet and a world opened. There, I completed my degree in Electronic Engineering with a thesis on the methodology of evaluating network security based on common criteria.

As I began my work journey, I started from the basics and grew in several companies and markets. This wide experience has helped me learn different ways of approaching cybersecurity.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Be fair, respect everyone and every opinion.

With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CISO role going in the next 1-2 years?

I believe it must not be a technical role anymore. You must have various competence, knowledge of geopolitical aspects and the ability to speak the same language of other C-level and top managers.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CISO?

Trust yourself, don't be afraid to make a decision, and be fair.

Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

  1. I still like playing with LEGOs.
  2. I practise mountain biking.
  3. When I was young, I assembled and disassembled my only PC (a 486) to satisfy my curiosity and testing.

What is the value of joining an Evanta community?
