As Chief Financial Officer at Amy's Kitchen, Inc., Peter Wong leads all aspects of the company's financial strategy and performance.
Prior to joining Amy's, Peter was the CFO at Zoom Eyeworks where he helped grow the business for its eventual sale to private equity firms. Previous to Zoom, Peter was with Peet's Coffee & Tea, where he held senior financial leadership positions. At Peet's, he helped take the company public and grew it into a well-known multi-channel consumer company.
Peter resides in Castro Valley with his wife Elisa, and 2 sons, Ethan and Isaac.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
I strive to be a servant leader where I encourage decisions and recommendations from my team, be active listener to them, and put development and growth in regular cadence beyond just performance management.
With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CFO role going in the next 1-2 years?
CFOs must build a strong foundation for financial flexibility to withstand volatility, have a continuous improvement mindset, and embark on transforming all aspects of the business.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CFO?
Approach the role as an enterprise business leader rather than a functional one.
