Measuring and communicating security risk is integral to reducing an organization's vulnerability to attack. Low quality and availability of data may impede the CISO’s ability to inform risk levels to other Lines of Business. The CISO must focus on sourcing the right data which provides a comprehensive view of risk level and security posture. A data-driven approach to risk management will enable CISOs to better communicate threats to non-security functions.
