Anup Singh is a globally experienced information security leader with over 25 years of experience in information security and compliance across several industry domains. Anup joined REV Group in Dec 2022 as CISO, taking over the helm of cyber security. Prior to REV, he served as Sr. Director, Information Security & Compliance at Enerpac Tool Group, where he established the information security program from the ground-up and led it to its current state of maturity. Anup's passion is to lead cyber security programs by leveraging internal and external partnerships to deliver most value to the organization.
In his spare time, Anup is an avid music enthusiast, frequently found on SummerFest grounds during the festival.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I started my career in the IT Service Desk and quickly rose up the ranks of system administration and security. One of my early projects was to design an IP chains firewall on Linux, and I have not looked back since then.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Inspire and motivate the team to do its best.
What is the greatest challenge CISOs face today, and how are you addressing it?
Nurture talent and empower them to deliver creative solutions. Talent management is a tough challenge in the limited resource pool in the Midwest region. My approach is to recruit young, motivated individuals and help them shape their path in cyber security, while contributing to the organization.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CISO?
Communicate, communicate and communicate. C-level needs to communicate and, dare I say, over communicate with all the stakeholders, executive leadership and the Board. With the evolving risk landscape, our response needs to evolve and everyone needs to be on the same page for a successful, enterprise-wide, information security program.
