Bindu Chellappan leads the Insights & Analytics COE at Fleetcor, reporting to the Global CMO. The Insights COE identifies market opportunities, profit pools, customer pain points and needs, and competitive offerings within various business segments.
Her team works closely with product, UX, marketing, sales and customer service teams to drive insights for all decisions. Her team also serves as trusted advisors and strategists to the business partners.
Bindu has over 10 years of insights & analytics experience, working at GE Capital, Dell, Coca-Cola and Fleetcor.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
Early in my career, I recognized the pivotal role that insights and analytics play in driving an organization's growth. I actively pursued opportunities that not only honed my analytical skills but also paved the way for my current role. Today, at Fleetcor, I continue to harness the potential of data and analytics to make strategic decisions.

Build a culture of continuous learning and personal growth.
With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CDAO role going in the next 1-2 years?
In response to the disruptions and challenges with AI & technology, data and analytics leaders are pivotal in leading cultural transformations within their organizations, promoting a data-driven mindset at all levels. This includes retraining for new skills, breaking down silos, and fostering collaboration among different departments.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CDAO?
Build and foster relationships within the organization.

- Travel Enthusiast: I have lived in 4 countries, have visited over 20 countries and have a collection of souvenirs from each place.
- Certified Lifelong Learner: I hold a collection of certificates from various online courses, workshops, and seminars. This has not only enriched my life but also inspired my career journey.
- Historical Traveler: We plan vacations around visiting historical sites and landmarks. Whether it's exploring ancient ruins, walking through historic battlefields, or touring well-preserved medieval towns, travel experiences have provided me with unique stories and insights to share.
What is the value of joining an Evanta community?
I have been a part of this community for a couple of years now. I look forward to networking with like-minded professionals who share a passion for data and analytics. Building connections and exchanging ideas with individuals who are at the forefront of this field is undoubtedly a valuable experience!
