Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I started my career as a consultant, serving various financial services clients in delivering mission critical data objectives. After 10 years of consulting, I joined HSBC where I played multiple data leadership roles including in data operations, data strategy and implementation and data management. Prior to joining Bank of America in June 2022, I was America's Chief Data Officer covering Commercial Banking and Markets businesses.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
You go far by working together.
With disruption being a key theme of the past few years, where do you see your role going in the next 1-2 years?
I see the role moving to true management of data as an asset, including clear delivery of business benefits and ROI from data initiatives.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the role as an executive leader?
Don’t be afraid to go to the right level of detail to make the best decision.
