The Coach K Leadership & Ethics Center (COLE) redefines leadership and develops leaders of consequence for emerging global opportunities and challenges. COLE programs bridge theory and practice — the center supports rigorous research, offers leadership development and executive programs for MBA students and practitioners, and hosts the Coach K Leadership Summits. Additionally, to leverage changing business demographics, COLE’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLEAD) empowers women for more leadership responsibilities.
Under the leadership of its founding directors, Sanyin Siang and Sim Sitkin, the center has established a distinguished community of leaders. COLE was established in 2004 by Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in partnership with Mike Krzyzewski and Duke Athletics. Through this partnership, the center leverages the intellectual resources and practical experiences of leading academician and practitioners to accomplish its mission. Through its activities, COLE is at the forefront of leadership research and education.
