The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University is one of the largest business schools in the United States with more than 250 faculty, 1,800 graduate students and more than 8,700 undergraduates. The school is internationally recognized for its leadership in business education and is highly regarded for its renowned faculty and their research productivity. The programs at its Department of Information Systems are consistently ranked among the top 20 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The state-of-the-art curriculum provides students with technical expertise and develops critical thinking, team-building, communication and project management skills. Beginning this year, the department will offer both face-to-face and online degree options.
CABIT is an ASU research center that fosters collaboration between IT scholars and industry to help identify, implement, and evaluate technology innovations that can enhance firm performance. It meets this mission by:
- Coordinating research projects that match leading academics with organizations facing emerging issues.
- Supporting activities that incorporate “real-world” best practices and innovations into the curriculum.
- Facilitating the involvement of business leaders in curriculum enhancement through executive lectures, classroom presentations, and sponsored student competitions.
- Promoting events like the CIO Executive Summit that attract industry-wide leaders to the Phoenix area to create and disseminate knowledge about the power of technology in today’s global business environment.
