Expand Session Description
Glen Taylor of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is tasked with securing a wireless network that supports a Walt Disney World campus spanning 47 square miles, roughly the size of San Francisco. Add to this complex environment a rise from 200 to more than 3,500 rouge wireless access points, and the adage “walk a mile in his shoes” becomes a straightforward lesson in empathy. In this session, Taylor will describe how he and his team collaborated with Disney corporate technology and multiple business partners to make Walt Disney World a safer environment for all technology end-users. His team used crowdsourcing as an innovative way to save millions of dollars and increase employee engagement and awareness in security protocols. Not without lessons learned, Taylor will also discuss the challenges and process issues they uncovered, as well as the solutions implemented by the various teams.
