How do we secure the Future of America’s IT workforce? The InterAlliance of Greater Cincinnati is a community engagement collaborative of businesses and educators designed to address emerging workforce issues. It utilizes a proven framework for engagement of local employers, universities, and high schools, with the end goal of cultivating, retaining, and attracting top tier young talent to local businesses, and creating a sustainable pool of local talent from IT and Technology. The model utilizes robust programming, including summer career camps; paid summer and school-year internships; technology career fairs and conferences; high tech competitions; programming master classes; in-school career pathway programming; career readiness and mentoring programs; and scholarships. This session will take a deeper look at the model, its impact, and how the CIO community can continue to grow and support the model.
