Taproot Foundation, a U.S. nonprofit, connects nonprofits and social change organizations with skilled volunteers through pro bono service. Taproot is creating a world where organizations dedicated to social change have full access—through pro bono service—to the marketing, strategy, HR, and IT resources they need to be most effective. Since 2001, Taproot’s skilled volunteers have served 4,600 social change organizations providing 1.5 million hours of work worth over $160 million in value. Taproot has designed and delivered pro bono programs for over 60 Fortune 500 and other companies that leverage employees’ skills to address critical societal problems. In addition to work in the U.S., Taproot, along with the BMW Foundation, is the co-founder of the Global Pro Bono Network, a thriving community of social entrepreneurs from 30 countries who are committed to developing pro bono programs across the globe. Taproot and CEB work together to engage corporate employees in pro bono service to build strong communities while developing strong social-minded leaders within our corporations.
